Rangers Sign Tyler Pitlick to One-Year Deal
The New York Rangers signed Tyler Pitlick Saturday, making it likely he'll compete for the spot previously held by Tyler Motte.

Per the team: Pitlick, 31, skated in 61 games for the St. Louis Blues in 2022-23, recording seven goals and nine assists for 16 points. A Minneapolis, Minnesota native, Pitlick has amassed 105 points (55G-50A) in 386 career NHL games over nine seasons between the Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Arizona Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, and Edmonton Oilers.

The contract is less than $1 million. If he doesn't fit – or make the team entirely -- he can be placed on waivers and buried in Hartford. Every year we see the Rangers bring in a few options like this, and Pitlick will look to beat out Riley Nash.
