The rumors have been buzzing, but we've finally received confirmation that the New York Rangers will be playing in their sixth outdoor game next winter. Bust out your sunscreen and sunglasses because the Rangers are going to Miami!

The last outdoor game featuring the Rangers was the 2024 NHL Stadium Series game against the Islanders at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. The Blueshirts have been lucky enough to consistently appear in outdoor NHL games and have an astounding 5-0-0 record. While the game is hosted in Miami, Florida, a surplus of Rangers fans dwell in the Sunshine State full-time or have a snowbird lifestyle and will be there during the winter, so you can expect to see a fair amount of Rangers blue in the crowd. Another Winter Classic means another specialty jersey; many hints and mock-ups of potential aesthetics will come in the following months.

The Rangers and Panthers have developed their own type of rivalry, with the teams meeting in the Eastern Conference Final last postseason. While the Rangers have had a disappointing campaign this season, next year, there is no telling what competitive roster the team could be wielding.
