If you missed it, I marked out the players I thought made the most sense to move on from by this trade deadline here. Those were the easy choices, unrestricted free agents who have no real shot of being here next year, who Chris Drury should be leveraging to gain back assets needed for this re-tool on the fly.
Today we're moving on to the next tier: The harder decisions.
Not to spoil the third tier, but "harder" does not mean "summer choices." It might turn into that—in fact I would be shocked if any of the below players were moved in March—but it's more about figuring out what exactly you want to do with the guy.
There are some surprising names on this list, but I do think all of them are being discussed in some capacity in terms of their place on the market.
