Rangers vs. Devils: As Bad As It Can Get (Hopefully)
- The first thing Joe said in his notes from the Montreal game was, "I don't think Saturday afternoon fixed anything." Woooo boy, was he right. Nothing was fixed. Disaster. Tire fire. Catastrophe. An atrocity worthy of a trial for crimes against humanity at The Hague. That was just about as bad of a game as the Rangers could have possibly played, and it put in stark relief how that Kaapo Kakko goal to beat the Canadians was a just a BandAid on a sucking chest wound.
- They didn't give themselves a chance in this game, surrendering a goal to Jesper Bratt only 1:27 into the first period. That's now the 5th time this season that they've surrendered a goal in the first two minutes of the game, which is most in the NHL. Yikes. And that was just one of the two two-on-ones they gave up in the first ninety seconds. I stopped counting after the 5th odd man rush against in the first period. Big yikes.
