Rangers Vs. Devils Preview: New Line Combinations Tomorrow Against New Jersey
Alain Vigneault will be rolling with some new line combinations tomorrow afternoon against the New Jersey Devils.
The New York Rangers will look to snap their two game losing streak tomorrow afternoon as they welcome in the New Jersey Devils, and they will do so with a brand new lineup. With the offensive well running dry against the Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens, Alain Vigneault rolled out some new lineup combinations at practice this afternoon.
We will get our first look at the reconstructed lineup tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully these changes jump start the offense. The expected lineup for tomorrow's game can be found down below:
Rick Nash - Derek Stepan - Mats Zuccarello
Chris Kreider - Derick Brassard - Jesper Fast
Oscar Lindberg - Kevin Hayes - J.T. Miller
Viktor Stalberg - Dominic Moore - Jarret Stoll
Ryan McDonagh - Kevin Klein
Keith Yandle - Dan Girardi
Marc Staal - Dan Boyle
One of the biggest changes has Jesper Fast jumping up to the second line right wing spot, alongside Derick Brassard and Chris Kreider. Fast will get a chance to show off the offensive side of his game that we saw at times last season, and will hopefully be a nice compliment to Brassard and Kreider. In addition, Kevin Hayes will also be slotting back into his natural center position, while Oscar Lindberg will shift back out to the wing.
Henrik Lundqvist will be getting the start tomorrow afternoon, which means that Antti Raanta will likely make his season debut on Monday night against the San Jose Sharks. There is a lot to digest with these changes, but so far they certainly look intriguing.
Thoughts?
