Rangers Vs. Devils: Rangers Announce Lineup For Preseason Opener
The New York Rangers announced their lineup for tomorrow's preseason opener against the New Jersey Devils.
The New York Rangers will open their preseason tomorrow night against the New Jersey Devils, where we will get our first glance at several players trying to crack the opening night lineup. With a little over 24 hours until puck drop on Monday night, the Rangers released their anticipated lineup that includes the likes of Chris Kreider, Keith Yandle, Derek Stepan, Oscar Lindberg and Brady Skjei.
The full roster breakdown can be found down below:
Forwards: Brian Gibbons, Tanner Glass, Luke Adam, Jesper Fast, Chris Kreider, Derek Stepan, Jayson Megna, Oscar Lindberg, Viktor Stalberg, Dominic Moore, Ryan Bourque, Marek Hrivik
Defense: Dylan McIlrath, Dan Boyle, Raphael Diaz, Chris Summers, Brady Skjei, Keith Yandle
Goaltenders: Antti Raanta, Magnus Hellberg
Goaltending will certainly be something to keep an eye on tomorrow night as Antti Raanta, and Magnus Hellberg are expected to split time in the crease. Both goalies are trying to land a backup job this year behind Henrik Lundqvist, so it will a fun little battle to watch as preseason carries on.
This will also be the Brady Skjei's first official appearance in a Rangers uniform, so that will be pretty cool to watch as well. There is plenty to be excited about tomorrow night, and we finally get to watch some hockey again regardless if it counts in the standings.
We're almost there!
