Rangers Vs. Ducks Preview: It Can Only Get Better
The New York Rangers will take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight after getting demolished 9-2 by the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night.
The New York Rangers will have a chance to rebound after getting shellacked 9-2 by the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night. However, the Rangers will be without Rick Nash tonight when they faceoff against the Anaheim Ducks, as he is still suffering from the side effects of Brad Stuart's hit.
According to Pat Leonard, the Rangers have sent Nash back to New York which ensures that he will miss tonight's game, as well as Saturday's against the St. Louis Blues. Earlier in the day, it was noted that Nash could miss up to 7-10 days, which could possibly have him on schedule to return against the New Jersey Devils on 10/19.
As a result of Nash's injury, Jesper Fast will re-enter the lineup and will be paired with Derek Stepan and Taylor Pyatt to start the game. Benoit Pouliot has also been promoted to the top line, while Brad Richards will move back to center. The full lineup can be found below.
