Rangers vs. Penguins: More of That, Please

- First, a few points about the day that proceeded the game. From the moment the "memo" went out, some move was inevitable. As I said on the podcast last week, this was kind of like Chekhov's gun. I didn't think Drury was going to draw the gun if he wasn't willing to use it. To get value back for Jacob Trouba in the form of a former 1st round pick in Urho Vaakanainen, and a 4th round draft pick, and to get Anaheim to take on the entirety of Trouba's contract with no money being retained? That's incredible work by Drury.
- As for Trouba's public statements following the trade... well, I'll save my thoughts for next week's podcast. But suffice it to say, they aren't particularly kind.
- Also, with regard to how it all went down, this:
If you were okay with Jacob Trouba using everything within the confines of his contract to block a trade in the offseason and force his return for this year, you should also be okay with Chris Drury using everything within the confines the contract to move him out
