Rangers Vs. Senators: Keys To The Game
The New York Rangers will be back on home ice once again tonight, to face-off against the Ottawa Senators. The Rangers will look to extend their winning streak to six straight games tonight as well. The last time these two teams met at Madison Square Garden, the Rangers let the Senators come back from a two goal deficit to win the game in a shootout. Here are tonight's keys to the game.
Get To It Early: This has been a common theme for the Rangers this season, they need to come out of the gates early. This Senators team is 7-1-2 in their last ten games, and the Rangers cannot afford to be down early on them. If the Rangers can establish a pace early in this game, they could carry some momentum throughout the game.
Keep On The Gas: As we saw in the last game, the Senators are capable of coming back when down late in the game. The Rangers cannot afford to let off the gas for even the shortest amount of time. The Rangers have the offensive power, and defensive power to shut the Senators down, and they need to keep it up for a full 60 minutes.

Improve The Power Play: The Rangers have been struggling as of late on the power play, and this needs to get straightened out quick. The Rangers had an opportunity to win the game last time against the Phoenix Coyotes, but a lapse on the power play took away that opportunity. Special teams can win games when giving the opportunity. The Rangers NEED to work on this if they want to continue their success.
