The Rangers look to remain the win column with an early evening game on Sunday against the Sharks.

Revenge is a dish best served with two points in regulation.
As if a lackluster 2-3 start wasn't enough to motivate the Rangers as they take on the Sharks Sunday night at Madison Square Garden, you'll recall this San Jose team embarrassed the Rangers at the SAP Center last season 9-2. Tomas Hertl scored four goals, Martin Biron relieved Henrik Lundqvist (and then retired), and it was one of if not the lowest points of the Rangers terrible start.
New York got a chance at redemption in March, but was blanked by the Sharks 1-0. So the Blueshirts are still looking to beat San Jose for the first time in the wake of that early 2013-14 season blowout.

Evan's Player to Watch: Ryan McDonagh
We always talk about how McDonagh is a prideful player, so when it comes to anyone in the locker room who probably will have a little extra jump to his game with the memory of that 9-2 laugher in the back of his head, it might be McDonagh. Add in that the new Rangers captain is scoreless through the team's first five games, and this is another tough test for the Rangers, and McDonagh could be a guy to step up on both ends.
Happy threadin'.
