Rangers vs. Stars: Winning In Dallas (???)
The Rangers played -- and won! -- in Dallas Friday night. That's a good thing, right?

- The Rangers were 3-11 coming into the game, eventually you knew they were going to get one. The surprise wasn't so much that they won, but rather that he first two periods played against a playoff team were fine.

- There were some of the usual issues. Fair to say Igor Shesterkin certainly saved the day – making 41 saves. The Rangers, once again, got their asses handed to them in the third period – relying on their newly minted $11.5-million man to bail them out. Dallas took 15 shots to the Rangers five in the third, the only difference was this time the Rangers were leading. I still don't like the shell game in any way, but better to do it up 2-1 than down 4-0.
- And if you want to know why Igor is payed the way that he is, well
Igor Shesterkin saved a season-high 5.6 goals above expected tonight. Making 21 (!) saves while short-handed definitely gave him a big boost there (@EvolvingHockey) pic.twitter.com/UijHUuoA9b

- The hockey card from this one was ... interesting. Unsurprisingly there are some familiar names at the bottom of the list, but Matt Rempe (more on him in a minute) being middle of the road is right where you want him to be, and Lindgren being way up there is also shocking.
