The New York Rangers ring in the New Year
From reflections to confetti, there’s no wrong way to do it.
While the New York Rangers entered the new year in style with a 6-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche, a couple of them didn’t have the chance to be there with the rest of them.
Soon they’ll rejoin them, we hope. But in the meantime, Pavel Buchnevich and Mika Zibanejad stepped foot into 2017 in their own way.
Buchnevich, for his part, took advantage of being a Ranger in New York while most of his team is not, and went out to Times Square.
And how cool is that? A year ago, he was playing in Russia; he got to start his 2017 off in particularly epic American fashion. That’s an awesome video to have.
Zibanejad, meanwhile, took a quieter, but still really sweet approach.
Friends, family, dogs, and, of course, becoming a Ranger. All are big parts of anyone’s life - except maybe that last one, which is pretty rare. That one’s really special - and soon, we should get to see him set foot on the ice wearing that exact same jersey once again.
Here’s to a good 2017!
