Report: Vitali Kravtsov’s KHL Contract Will Not Be Terminated Early by Traktor
There’s been some scuttlebutt involving top prospect Vitali Kravtsov joining the New York Rangers since his season with Traktor ended, but it now appears that he will not be headed to North America until May 1 at the earliest.
Traktor won't terminate Vitali Kravtsov's contract, team's GM just confirmed me that, so don't expect Kravtsov to join #NYR this season

Kravtsov’s current deal in the KHL will expire on April 30 and at that point in time he’s free to come over and sign his entry-level contract. The Rangers are currently on a road trip in Western Canada, and upon return to New York the Blueshirts have exactly 10 games left.
No matter how you slice it, even if Kravtsov were released from his contract and came to North America it likely wouldn’t have been worth it to rush him into action and burn a year from his entry-level deal.
