Watch: Henrik Lundqvist takes stick to face, leaves game
An errant Marc Staal stick sent Henrik Lundqvist to the dressing room.
Late in the first period of game one, Henrik Lundqvist was injured when a stray Marc Staal stick ended up inside his mask. Staal, while battling with Oskar Sundqvist in front of the net, accidentally flailed his stick a little too close to Lundqvist's face, and injured Hank around the right eye. Lundqvist stayed in the game for the remaining 48 seconds, giving up a goal in the process. Antti Raanta came in for the start of the second period, with Lundqvist being declared day-to-day by Alain Vigneault.
