Wolf Pack sign defenseman Zach Giuttari to ATO

Hartford to take a look at Brown’s standout captain

The Hartford Wolf Pack announced today that the team has signed Zach Giuttari, a college free agent who just finished his senior season at Brown, to an amateur tryout.

Giuttari, a 6-2, 190-pound native of Warwick, RI, just completed a four-year career at Brown University. The 23-year-old Giuttari served as Brown’s captain this season, and led the team in points and assists, with four goals and 11 assists for 15 points, along with ten penalty minutes. His four goals tied for tops among Bruin defensemen, and for fourth overall on the team. That earned Giuttari his second consecutive Second-Team All-Ivy selection.

Giuttari led Brown in scoring this season with 15 points in 31 games. He also led the team in power play scoring (9) and shots on goal (81). The most productive season of his collegiate career came when Brown was a junior in 2018-19, where he scored seven goals and picked up 13 assists in 34 games.

The Wolf Pack’s defense on Saturday, Mar. 7 against the Hershey Bears consisted of Mason Geertsen, Vince LoVerde, Brandon Crawley, Darren Raddysh, Nick Ebert, and Libor Hajek.

Hartford’s next game is on Wednesday, Mar. 11 against the Providence Bruins.
